Well, went to my 1st Dermatologist Appt.
He told me to continue using the Arbonne Tea Tree Oil Shampoo that I was using for a facial cleanser, that was fine. I still am using the lil loofah-like facial puff. I stopped doing the Noxzema, and am using Dove sensitive-skin soap to clean my make-up off if I am wearing makeup, first, before using the Tea Tree Oil Shampoo. Then, I apply the Differin in the AM to my problem areas. Then let dry, and then apply Cetaphil lotion. Then at night, after washing face, I apply the Benzaclin, let dry, then apply the Cetaphil Lotion. Actually, my face was starting to look better before I got to the Dermo Doc...but my period also ended. He told me to check and make sure my birth control pill didn't have too much male hormone in it...I take Seasonique...and he wasn't familiar with it. It's a Mono-phasic Pill, and I only get my period once every 3 months. So, will need to call my GYN and ask about that. So, I am seeing improvement in only a few days so far ;) He said, after treating the problem areas, I can work on the rest of my face to clear the pores out. Wish me Luck! Anyone else on these, or been on these?? How was your response to them?? Posted on 01/20/08, 04:01 am |

Well Benzaclin was aweful...so was Differin Gel...I never had any luck..If you want a REALLY good face wash..Aveeno with acne fighting scrubs..Its all natural and wont clog your pores..I use that and it has helped alot. Also (if you can) try to stick with one cleanser...MANY dermatologists told me that mixing and matching can cause worse acne in the long run. Every person is different. I finally tried Accutane and it was the ONLY thing that really helped. But you have to be out of all options and be watched very closely on it. Also have to have two birth control methods. There is a cream called Tazarex..I think its mis-spelled BUT it works really good for most people and has a perchantage rate of 98% effective within 2 months of usage. I unfornuatly was in that 2% that it didn't work for. I do hope what you are on now helps you though! Good Luck!! :o)
