Having a very hard time lately. It seems my skin is getting worse as i get older. I hate looking at my self. I feel so ugly, and sad im wondering if it is every going to end because i cant take this anymore. I have to go to work and pretend everything is ok when all i want to do is go home and stay locked in my room. I dont even date because im scared if my skin gets worse they wont want me anymore. The acne scarring is the worse, im african american so i feel its worse for me. I spend all my money at the dermatologist, but it seems like nothing is working. i cant live my life like this anymore.

I'm very sorry that you're having such a rough time now. Please, please, please remember that you ARE beautiful! People are not so blind that they can't see the light in your eyes, your beautiful smile, all that you are.
Please don't allow yourself to be overwhelmed by what YOU see in the mirror. I KNOW that other people around you see you for who you are, your intelligence, you sense of humor, you caring. I don't know what your spiritual beliefs are, but I know there is one who wants you to be discouraged and crawl into a whole. And then there is One Who loves you SO MUCH and will use this challenge in your life even when it feels like it's getting so difficult, He can turn it into a great blessing to you and others around you. Hang in there. I am praying for you. You are His beautiful child. He created you and He has a wonderful plan for you.

im so sorry you feel this way. I have acne too and i hate it! Some days i just want to lock myself in my room and never come out. I try washing my face and eating right but I still get acne. When I feel this bad I tell myself that this is just the outside. Don't let your skin define you. Your skin is NOT who you are.

So true. A skin condition should never come to define a person. We are all so much more than that, and everyone else sees it.
More often not, we are the only ones really beating ourselves up over stuff like this, especially as we get older. But a lot of us do confront some level of depression regarding acne, and for various reason. If you feel this way, or even if you don't, you might want to check out this Sharecare.com QA: Q: My acne is depressing me – can anything help? A: http://www.sharecare.com/question/c... Ultimately, just make sure to do your research and ensure you're doing what you can to keep your skin as clear and healthy as possible, but beyond that, don't let it consume you. It's not worth it. Fill your life with enjoyments instead. Best of wishes to you all,

I am 37 and I still get acne... It is not as bad as I think, but it is very frustrating to me. Its always on my forehead. I have even gone to the legnth to talk to a counsler about it, because it is a very sensitive subject to me. Its like: 'all I want is clear skin'! I understand the feeling of going to work and feeling self consious. I have always been weary of pills, but i am going to try this bottle of minocycline that I have not given a chance. Have you tried antibiotics? Remember, this too shall pass. You can always chat with me if you like...

I would try just drinking more water and sleeping more. These will certainly help your skin.

I wrote to you previously telling you that acne is ABSOLUTELY CAUSED BY HORMONAL IMBALANCE. Here is an article from "the Lancet' the most prestigious British medical publication verifying this:

I understand what you're going through. I suffered with acne as a teenager. Try doing a detox. Sometimes the health issues we deal with comes from toxic build up in our bodies. Our diet plays a major role with the health issues. I would recommend Colonix. You can purchase this from walgreens or the website www.drnatura.com. If you drink cold drinks and fruit juices. I would stop and drink plenty of water. If you can't find Colonix, try MagO7. You can purchase thist from amazon.com.
