I am on a low dosage birth control, and it does help a bit with the acne, that is, until I get my period, then I break out all over my face and my back. I try not to touch or scratch or anything, but it never stops, it comes in waves, clears up, and then comes back.
Before the pill, I was on a benzoyl peroxide treatments and they did nothing for me.Any advice what to do? Posted on 07/22/09, 06:07 pm |

ever tried acupuncture???
I used to have extremely heavy periods, but the birth control pills only gave me migraines and did nothing for the acne. Acupuncture, however, actually regulated my cycle while getting my acne under control as well.
