Advice:
Getting rid of back acne...

I didn't seek help for my back acne until late in the game, where it was getting a little painful and severe. I went on some kind of oral medication, and I forget what it is, but it made me sick to my stomach and I ended up it up half the time so it didn't work. Fortunately, it started receding for about sixth months. Now it's coming back again, and some of ones that have been there all along are getting bigger again and more painful! What can I do do get rid of this stuff? What has worked best for you?

" I have this problem and tried something that helped.

First, clean the area gently with a cleanser or toner that's good for sensetive skin. You can use plain water, too.
Then put some 2.5% benzoyl peroxide on. I use Neutrogena On the Spot. Put enough on to get all the problem areas. Put it on a few dots at a time and very gently blend until it absorbs. You want to touch the skin as lightly as you can so it doesn't irritate it.
Next use some good skin oil. I use vitamin A & E oil, but you can use plain E oil, or jojoba oil. Spread it on gently - it will prevent the benzoyl peroxide from drying out your skin, and will help it heal.
You can also use glycerin as a moisturizer, or another moisturizer that you like such as Oil of Olay for sensetive skin.

For the pain, I would suggest either putting on an antibacterial ointment like Neosporin + Pain Relief (try a bit to experiment and see how your skin reacts) or Lanacane or even Anbesol. Lanacane will last longer, but Neosporin will help it heal (if your skin reacts ok to it).

I would do the first part with all the treatments and moisturizers before bed. And then in the morning you can gently cleanse it again and put the pain stuff on instead of the other stuff for day.

Hope this helps! "
