" If your parents will allow you to go on bith control pills I would, that will help with the acne, for the oil use a toner and apply a lotion that is oil free, and there are oil absorbing sheets that I use through out the day and my skin is never has as much oil on it by the end of the day. "

" HI Yea Oily skin sucks but on a lighter note if your skin is oily u will be less likely to wrinkle in your later yrs. Witch hazel is a great toner for oily skin it helps with PH balance and is non irrating to the skin. Clinque also does sell some great products for oily skin theyhave a moisting Gel (instead of cream or lotion that is oil free) and also have a oil sheild gel u can use that my friend says works great. Try not to over wash ur face or use real hot water b/c they both cause the skin to produce more oil!!! Wash face w/ with warm water 2 or 3 times the most a day and than splash cold water on ur face. Hope this helps "

" I can fully understand your concern. I have oily skin as well and it really is a battle, especially if you like to wear makeup.

For me, waking up is the absolute worst. I don't even want to touch my pillowcase until I can get a piece of tissue to dab the oil off.

The best advice I can give you is to use a cleanser that doesn't over-dry your skin (such as Aveeno) and then after you pat your face off with a clean towel apply a good moisturizer (try Clean & Clear or some other brands) that gives your skin the moisture it needs.

Most people achieved oily skin by drying theirs out too much which made their glands kick into overdrive. So, the most important thing I have learned is to keep your skin CLEAN and MOISTURIZED. The more moisturized your skin is the less your glands need to work, so after some time you will notice that your skin is less oily.

Bets of luck! "

" I know this sounds crazy but take 1000 Mgs of Vitamin C twice per day.and drink water with real lemon juice in it. Use artifical sweetner . The best thing is to go to the health food store and buy Stevia Lemon Drop. It is an all natural sweetner (no calories) and add that with the real lemon juice to the water. It makes a huge difference. The acid in the products drys up your pores and eliminates alot of the oil.
Good Luck. "

" I've been using differin at night & something else in the morning
i don't remember what it was, but whatever i used in the morning made my face completely dry & itchy
before i knew it i was scratching like crazy and my skin turned all red
differin hasn't been working for me either at all, so i understand how it feels for you
i've been to the skin doctor many times, but nothing has worked yet
TT_TT "

" Well i found my skin is less oily if I use moisturizer twice a day. Your skin is in overdrive, thinking it's too dry and needs moisture. So use a moisturizer to calm it down again :)

" I would continue to use your prescription meds. Try the products I have suggested in Trial and Error topic. Its the best combination I have found. Also Im sure if you check with your dr they can be used in addition to your prescriptions. I have also found a bit of sunlight helps with drying up the oils. Dont want to get sun burnt but a little of sun on the face has helped me in the past. "

" i used duac gel..it burnt my skin though.
You can buy blotting papers, and when your skin is really oily you just blot them over and they remove some of the oiliness.

Hvae you tried any pills for your acne? i used oxytetracyline. "

" Something that is simple that I like to do in the day is use a warm washcloth and just out that on my face for a few minutes. What I found was if I used a lot of different products it would make my skin worse. The warm cloth seems to sooth my skin and keep the oil under control temorarily. "
