hi,i'm not sure if i'm gonna wait till marriage but i'm definitely waiting for the right time and to be in love. i don't see sex as a sport or competition,i see it as a special experience that should happen between people who love each other

Please go strong! :) I am 23. Been saving myself for 22 years- never had a concrete reason why- just knew it wasn't right, wanted to save myself for the person i'm married to. Because I didn't have a solid reason, I eventually gave in to someone I thought at the time I was in love with. Guess what? I learnt a lesson the hard way- I picked up the well known Herpes "my first time"-my partner didn't even know he had it since most of them are asymptomatic. The fragility of this situation brought me closer to God. Only then i started to read the bible- and there it was- no sexual immorality. Why? to prevent such things from happening :) I wish I read the bible and had a solid reason for my virginity. I hope you are encouraged to go strong and read more about why sex is for marriage. When you have sex, 2 becomes 1, what my partner had- i got it- we really did become 1 just like the bible says. :)

I'll admit it--I'm 30. :) I look at virginity this way--I don't belong to just anyone! I belong to the man God has chosen for me. I get frustrated sometimes, but overall, God has abundantly blessed me and I want to live free. Free of STD's, free of the emotional baggage.

I was married once before..so I consider myself a "reborn" virgin...and Im waiting for the right one this time....none of this mistaking lust for love. I want to feel like i was worthy to have someone wait for me, so i in return want to do that for my someone special...its an amazing thing.

I want it to be a sacred experience, something that bonds me exclusively to my partner and him to me. I dont want to be used by multiple people or put myself at risk to STD's or STI's.
I don't understand why the media and today's world works so hard on using sex for story lines for tv and for selling items.

Also, I don't see how some teens think it's cool to brag about how many people they've laid. I mean... They make it so shallow, so artificial, so cold. What happened to family values, emotions, commitment?
I noticed in a lot of other posts, people see masturbating as a form of sex, but is it really? I've never masturbated but since it's not with another person, I don't see how it counts.
