Hair pulling?

Has anyone else experienced their child hair pulling after going on meds? My dh is 7 and on Daytrana and is so far doing fairly well on it. But, I've noticed her eyelashes are almost gone! It seems this has coincided with taking the medicine. The dr said it could be a tic from the meds, but didn't seem worried. I have a friend that is a hair puller and it is a real problem. I'm wondering what to do about this!

" If you think it's related to the medication trust your instincts and try something different. I have read research that although rare, tics caused by meds can become permanent. (Don't misread: it is not uncommon for meds to cause tics, just for them to become permanent). Good Luck! "

" Yes, my son pulled out his eyelashes, hair, and eyebrows when he was on concerta. He was in 5th grade. he said it made everything tingle.
It took over a year for him to stop. We tried other meds, then took him off meds. for a few months.
He's now a senior in high school. about 2 years ago he started on focalin xr and it works fine for him. no side effects.
You just have to find the one that works.
I can tell you it all gets better with time and maturity "
