Discussion:
Nothing works for my son

Hello everyone!

My son started Kindergarten in public school in September 2011. Since then, my life turned upside down. The school was calling me almost every day with complaints that he cannot seat still, constantly on the move, hitting or pushing other children and not listening to the teachers. He was always a very active child, and was having some problems with behavior in preschool, but nothing nearly as bad as in school.
In November, he was diagnosed with ADHD/ODD. He was placed on Ritalin, but it made him aggressive. Then, 2 other stimulants were tried, but unsuccessfully. Then, he was started on Clonidine, and it somewhat worked for him, but shortly it stopped working as well. Then, we tried a non-stimulant, but it did not work either.
Meanwhile, I tried herbal and homeopathic supplements as well, but nothing worked.
He continues to struggle in school, and now the school is considering special education for him. He is a very bright child (I am not just saying it because he is my son) and it hurts me to know that nothing is helping even though I am trying my very best!
I would appreciate any comments or suggestions!

" To sweetangels03:
What type of natural remedies are you trying? I'm "shopping around" for a doctor for my son. I suspect he could have ADHD. And I'm trying diet changes until I can meet with a doctor. "
