can anyone give me some more insight into this. Cheap but high quality if you know of any? I can't afford to get biofeedback right now because I am going to be seeing a specialist for my chronic fatigue syndrome. But my adhd is severe and if I am able to buy one of these to have with me and it might provide me with some relief. I'm more than willing

" Please don't do a biofeedback program by yourself. Our daughter went to a trained psychologist for 35 sessions and it is carefully monitored. I spoke to him about the home machines and he said one of his patients tried this before she came to him and she had put herself in the brain wave pattern for sleep and she went from a busy professional to a walking zombie. It took many sessions to reverse her brain wave pattern. This is nothing to mess with! Be careful with your brain! "

" Our son is currently in neurofeedback and we're seeing results -- better school days and an improvement with his eating (he has severe food anxiety). I wouldn't try to do this on your own. The people running the clinic we go to have extensive training. The changes made through neurofeedback are permanent. I wouldn't want to risk doing it incorrectly. "

" Thank you Deepley for your input. I have some brainwave entrainment apps on my iphone that I use for concentration, relaxation etc. These help a lot and I think are slightly similar to biofeedback, but safe for anyone to use I believe. I appreciate you warning me about buying a machine, I will definitely avoid that. Hopefully once my treatment for cfs is completely finished I can find a way to finance a few sessions of biofeedback with a psychologist.

And thanks CAwriter mom, I'm glad to know it's working so well for your son. Hopefully I will have some luck with it too. "
